Most people are familiar with luxury drug rehab centers, though perhaps not from actual experience. Most likely this familiarity was developed by watching the news or entertainment-based television. These channels seem to report on these types of facilities with fervor with regularity, especially when a well known public figure enters one. Some of most people’s favorite celebrities have spent time in a luxury drug rehab facility or two. Instead of your typical facility, they often sound more like posh, country clubs then treatment centers. It is difficult not to compare them to the low cost drug rehab center that the average person is used to. In this article, we will do just that. We will take a look at some of the primary differences between luxury and your run-of-the mill, low cost drug rehab centers.
Luxury drug rehab centers:
These are often characterized by posh surroundings and services. Typically, they are located in beautiful, scenic areas. This might be near the mountains, on the beach or in the desert (Arizona is pretty popular). Not only are the surroundings to be envied, the facilities are often as well. People pay big money and want to feel like they or their loved one is getting their money’s worth. The service at these rehab centers is often first rate. There might be a chef who prepares the patient’s personal favorites, an on-demand masseuse, access to a swimming pool and work out facilities. Generally, anything that a wealthy person may expect to receive at a first class resort will be made available to them at a luxury drug rehab.
Besides the extras, there may be few differences in terms of actual treatment. Many of these centers use some of the same recovery ideologies as some of your lower cost facilities. The primary difference is the type of services and amenities available to them. Of course, this is not always the case but it is often.
Even with all of the perks, an individual that goes to rehab in a luxury rehab center does not necessarily have a better chance of getting clean then someone who goes to an average-cost facility. Celebrities and wealthy persons that go to upscale recovery treatment facilities relapse and require multiple stays just like those who can not afford to enter such programs. Fancy meals and massages won’t magically cure addictions. It can make the process more comfortable but ultimately, what will get a person clean is the work that they put into their recovery.
Low Cost Rehab
A low cost rehab facility will offer the basics. Individuals will be put on a program that the particular rehab the have enrolled in, believes works. There may not be any fancy meals, likely no on-demand massages amd/or swimming pool. Because of this, an individual’s stay will be much less expensive. This type of treatment is what most people will be able to afford. Though it doesn’t sound nearly as exciting and won’t be as posh as a luxury rehab facility, the chances of recovery can be just as high. If a person is enrolled in high quality facility with a proven methodology, then they have the same chance at getting off of drugs. Though high-end amenities and services are undoubtedly nice, they don’t guarantee that a person will get clean.
